You decide to do some research in order to learn more about this disorder and how to deal with it in your classroom. Your first task is to research informative websites to get a general understanding of the symptoms of Attention Deficit Disorder. Here are a few to get you started:

Attention Deficit Disorder Association- this website contains many helpful categories including definition, symptoms, and on-going research of ADD.

Internet Mental Health- this page provides the diagnostic criteria and symptoms of ADD.

Next, find and list ways to manage the behavior in your classroom.

in School Resources for Parents and Teachers- gives resources and
ideas on how to organize your classroom and methods for improving the
productivity of the ADD student.

that work for students with ADD

Now, search these sites to find ideas and examples of how to modify your lesson plan. Make a list of modifications that would work in your classroom.

You do not have to use only these websites. There are many other resources to choose from. Be sure to find things that interest you and that would benefit your students. After reviewing these websites, incorporate specific modifications into your lesson plan in order to have the best learning environment for your students. After adding the modifications into your lesson plan, submit it to your administrator.
