Conclusion

Congratulations! You have successfully modified an existing lesson plan. You are now capable of devising new tactics and strategies to enhance the learning environment for attention deficit disorder students. By using modifications, you (as a teacher) will feel more comfortable around your students and will be able to perform better at your job. The students will also feel more comfortable and will perform better. Teachers feel rewarded when they see their students doing well in school. You feel like you have made a difference in the lives of your students. Keep in mind, however, that not all students will respond to your modifications. The students will need time to adjust, just as you will. In preparing future lesson plans, here are some things to consider:

-What are the advantages of modifying lessons for ADD students in your classroom?

-Why is it necessary to incorporate these modifications?

-How will you, as an educator, benefit from using modifications in your lessons?

-Will the strategies you came up with work for students with other disabilities?
